Elm Walk, Hampstead Heath

Bordering Golders Hill Park and Hampstead Heath, Elm Walk was certainly one of Lux Constructions more challenging builds. The owners expressly stipulated that they did not what a closed, cave-like space no matter what the lighting arrangement.

Our designers were tasked with coming up with an innovative solution to the problem, and as the pictures show, they really delivered. Underneath the front window on the ground floor a wide section of high-impact glass flooring, strong enough to walk on, was installed, allowing light to beam into the basement below.

In order for the glass to be installed, the entire floor required replacing and reinforcing. In the basement is now a large kitchen, breakfast bar and dining area, all finished to an extremely high standard and all bathed in light from the skylight above.

It doesn’t matter what your requirements or ideas are, at Lux Construction we pride ourselves on being able to offer these bespoke, luxurious solutions that fit into your home, and around your lifestyle.

With both our design and construction team operating in house they have years of experience in working as one to tailor solutions to our clients’ needs, this is key to consistently producing the first class results that are now expected from Lux Construction.
